Living Way Church

Our core mission at Living Way Church is to make disciples and plant churches.

At Living Way Church we believe that we have all been called to know Christ and to make him known. Below are listed the core values that guide us to that end.

Living Way Church is a Bible based church. All of our ministry must be based on the Scripture. We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God, and that it alone is the final rule for the fifth and practice of individual believers and the Church. While we value the tradition of Church history, and the opinions and godly men and women, only the teaching of the Scripture is binding on the heart and conscience of the Church.

Living Way Church is a Christ centered community. This means that our focus as a church is on Christ Himself. This is appropriate because Christ's person and work are central to biblical revelation.

We believe that the Church is meant to be more than a group of people who come together one time a week. Rather, it is to be a community of people experiencing the life of Jesus Christ together in all of life. Therefore, we do all we can to encourage the building of close relationships between the members of our church. These relationships are absolutely critical to the process of true discipleship. In the Scripture we are commanded to encourage one another, spur one another on to good deeds and to practically care for one another. Yet, these thangs can only happen as we build close relationships with one another. And we believe that Christ intended that to occur through the local Church.

We believe that the Christian life should be defined by the following concepts. And we work hard to ensure that these principles occur throughout our community.

Matthew 28:19-20 - Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.

Philippians 2:1-4 - So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, and participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.

John 4:23-24 - But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.

1 Peter 4:10-11 - As each has received a gift, us it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies — in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To Him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

2 Corinthians 5:20 - Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
