Leanin' on Love: Healing Through Community

A peaceful nature scene

Romans 12:10-12 - Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

Hey everyone,

Today's been a rough one. I am struggling to pass a nasty kidney stone that's decided to make my life miserable. The pain's been pretty intense, and I've had to cancel church. And let me tell you, that decision didn't sit too well with me. I love my little congregation—they're like family to me. So, having to let them down felt pretty lousy.

But you know what? Despite all the frustration and disappointment, there's something pretty amazing about the people I get to call my church family. They've been incredibly supportive and understanding, even when I'm not at my best. Their love and encouragement mean the world to me.

It's moments like these that really drive home the importance of community and support. Knowing that I'm not in this alone, that there are people who care about me and want to see me get better—it's like a ray of sunshine breaking through the clouds on a stormy day. And let me tell you, it makes all the difference in the world.

So, to my amazing congregation, I want to say thank you. Thank you for your love, your prayers, and your unwavering support. You guys are the real MVPs, and I'm so grateful to have you in my corner. We'll get through this rough patch and come out stronger on the other side.

And to anyone else out there who's struggling, whether it's with health issues, mental health challenges, or just the ups and downs of life—hang in there. You're not alone, and there's a whole community of people who've got your back.

Here's to leaning on each other, finding strength in our weaknesses, and walking together through the highs and lows of life.
