About Living Way

A small church with a simple life together.

Living Way is a house church serving the Carlisle area. We gather to worship God, hear his Word, care for one another, and grow into steadier followers of Christ.

Why a house church?

This is where God has us right now.

For our current congregation, meeting in a home is honestly the best option. It gives us a simple setting for worship, teaching, prayer, fellowship, and pastoral care without pretending to be larger or more complicated than we are.

We do not believe meeting in a house makes a church more biblical or more spiritual than a congregation meeting in a building. This is simply the form Living Way takes right now.

What matters here

Scripture at the center. People close enough to matter.

Our life together is intentionally uncomplicated, but not casual about the things that matter most.

01

We take God’s Word seriously.

Scripture is our final authority for faith and practice. Expository preaching and careful Bible teaching therefore have an important place in the life of Living Way.

02

People are not interruptions.

If someone needs prayer, encouragement, care, or simply time to be heard, the schedule can bend. Ministry is not something that happens around people; people are the ministry.

03

We grow through shared life.

Church life is more than a sermon. We pray, sing, worship, ask honest questions, encourage one another, bear burdens, and keep learning faithfulness to Christ together.

Beyond Sunday morning

The teaching continues beyond Sunday.

Living Way’s sermon library preserves years of biblical teaching as searchable manuscripts, Scripture collections, series, topics, and recordings when available. It serves both our local church and anyone beyond Carlisle who wants to study God’s Word with us.

Pastoral ministry

Personal by necessity—and by conviction.

Living Way is led pastorally by Pastor Garey. In a church our size, pastoral care and teaching stay close to the people being served rather than disappearing into layers of organization.

The best way to understand a small church is to spend a Sunday with us.

You are welcome to come, listen, observe, ask questions, and get to know us without pressure.
